ゼロの習慣　「何かを足さないと成長はできない」という思い込みを捨てる～人は思い込みを捨てるだけで成長できる～
・簡単に断ち切れそうな、細い棒切れとロープにつながれているゾウが、逃げ出そうとしない理由、それは驚くほど簡単で、ゾウが「自分にはできない」と思い込んでいるから。幼少時代に、頑丈な杭と強くて太いロープで逃げ出せないことを学ぶと、大人になってもう十分な力があるのにもかかわらず、「自分にはできない」と思い込んでいる。


・このゾウのような心の壁（意識の壁）を「メンタルブロック」と呼ぶ。多くの起業家を見てきて思うことは、学校で勉強ができた優秀な人ほど、メンタルブロックが強い傾向にあるということ。メンタルブロックは、優秀な人ほど陥りやすい。逆に言うと、このメンタルブロックさえなくなってしまえば、解き放たれたように成長できるということである。


・常識とは、「正しいこと」ではない。常識とは、ある時点で世の中の多くの人が「正しいだろう」と考えていること。世の中の大多数が「正しい」と思い込んでいるっことに過ぎない。常識とはある意味、思い込みの集合体のことであり、私たちの世界は、まだ見ぬ真実、「未常識」で溢れている。


・成功法則というと、何か新しい情報や考えや習慣などを自分に「足して」いかないといけないという思い込みがある。悪いのは、プラスばかりがプラスになるという思い込み。足すことも、もちろん大切だが、実は引くことも同じくらい大切である。自分が今まで持っていた、また足してきた考え方を、引いたり捨てたりすることによって、足すこと以上の効果がある。時には、マイナスすることも良い結果を生むためには必要なのである。


第１の習慣　「自分にはできない」という思い込みを捨てる～本当の自分に出会うために～
・「自分にはできない」「自分はたいしたことがない」という思いのせいで、新しいことに挑戦したり、何かに一生懸命に取り組むということができなくなってしまう。しかし、「自分にはできない」というのは、やってみないと分からないこと。実際にやってみたら、意外とできてしまうこともある。「自分にはできない」というのは、決して事実ではなく、あてにならない自己評価であり、思い込みである。
・「自分にはできない」という思い込みは、自分の限界に制限をかけるようなものである。自分で自分の限界を決めてしまうことを「自己制限」と呼ぶ。私たちは、知らない間に多くの自己制限をしている。そして、自分の中では限界を疑いようのない事実のように思い込んでいる。しかし、それらの自己制限の多くは、自分が勝手に決めてしまったこと。私たちは、本来、潜在的に大きな力を持っているのである。私たちが成長したければ、頑張ることも大切だが、この自己制限の呪縛を断ち切ることも、とても大切である。


第2の習慣　「失敗しちゃいけない」という思い込みを捨てる～"新しい一歩が踏み出せない"自分を変えるために～
・人はそれぞれ夢を持っている。夢というほどでもなく「やってみたいこと」「したいこと」「挑戦してみたいこと」はあるでしょう。でも、多くの人が新しい一歩を踏み出すことができない。その理由は、「失敗が怖いから」。失敗して痛い目にあった記憶が邪魔をするからである。だから、「本当はこうしたい」という気持ちを置き去りにして、大きな流れだけに身をまかせてしまうようになる。
・多くの人は、失敗を結果だと思っていることに対して、成功者は失敗をプロセスだと考えている。
・私たちは、どうしても、やろうとすることや新しい一歩を踏み出したことによって生じるリスクのことだけを考えがちである。しかし、やらないことにも厳然としてリスクがあるのだ。本当は、両方のリスクを考え、リスクの低い方を選択すべきである。
・失敗して落ち込んでしまってもよい。それは自然な反応だといえる。ただ、そこでやめてしまっては先がないし、成功もできない。失敗は成功のプロセスなのだから、そこでやめる必要はないのだ。だから、落ち込んでしまう自分に落ち込まずに、どれだけ早く、また成功に向かって歩き始められるか、次の失敗へ向けてトライができるかが大切である。


第3の習慣　「仕事は嫌なこと」という思い込みを捨てる～仕事が楽しくなると、人生は180度変わる～
・多くの人が、「仕事は嫌なことだ」と感じてしまっている。それは、「嫌なことをするからお金がもらえる」という思い込みがあるからだ。仕事が嫌なことから楽しいことになると、人生は劇的に変わる。それは、人生の8割を占める時間の過ごし方が変わるからである。その良い影響は、プライベートの時間にも伝わっていく。だから、人生を充実させたかったら、仕事に対する見方を変えることだ。


第4の習慣　「運はコントロールできない」という思い込みを捨てる～運を味方につけるためにできること～
・人の成功度が分かる定規の1つは、「自分の人生で起こるさまざまなことを、どの程度、自分の責任だと考えているか？」ということ。分かりやすいのは、言い訳の量。言い訳の量が少ないほど、自分の責任だと考えている度合いが高いといえる。また、自分の責任だと考えている人ほど、言い訳の方向性が自分に向いている。
・人や周囲を変えようとするのではなく、まず自分を変える。自分の周囲の世界を変えたい時、多くの人は自分以外の何かを変えるのに一生懸命になってしまう。自分以外の何かを変えることが、世界を変えることにつながると考え、他者を変えようとする。しかし、他者を変えることが一番難しい。私たちの周辺ではいろいろなことが起きる、。でも、その出来事の意味づけをするのは自分自身である。だから、自分が変わると見方が変わる。
・自己効力感というのは、自分のやったことがしっかりと作用する、自分のやったことが働いて何かの結果になって返ってくる、そういうことを実感できる力。成功者は必ずこの自己効力感を持っている。だからこそ、アクションを起こすことができ、失敗しながらも、そのアクションによってレベルアップしていく正の循環を築けるのだ。


第5の習慣　「お金は汚いもの」という思い込みを捨てる～お金の問題から自由になる～
・貯金額というのは、「社会に提供した価値－社会から提供してもらった価値」といえる。これが多い人は社会に何がしかの価値を提供している量が多いということになる。そうやって考えると、お金を沢山持っているということは、悪いことではない。


第6の習慣　「自分らしさは悪いこと」」という思い込みを捨てる～自分らしい生き方を選択できる生き方～
・自分らしさというのは、ある意味では人と違うということ。しかし、私たちはなかなか人と違うことをすることができない。それは「人と違うことをするのは悪いことだ」という思い込みがあるからだ。


第7の習慣　「成功しないと幸せになれない」という思い込みを捨てる～今すぐ幸せになるために～
・「幸せは何かの結果だ」という思い込み。「簡単には幸せになれない」という思い込み。「幸せになるにはすごいことをしないといけない」という思い込み。「成功＝幸せ」という思い込み。そういう思い込みがあるから、頑張る人や能力のある人ほど、幸せから遠ざかっていることがある。本当は、ビジネスの成功は幸せになるための手段でしかない。それなのに、いつの間にか、手段だったものが目的になり、それしか見えなくなってしまう。


第8の習慣　「自分は一人でいきている」という思い込みを捨てる～人間関係を良くするために～
・成功はするが成功し続けられない人が持っていなくて、成功し続けられる人が持っている能力が、「感謝できる能力」である。
・人の自己重要感を奪ってしまう人は、結局、自分の自己重要感を奪われてしまう。だから、自分を大切にしたかったら、人を大切にすることである。


エピローグ　8つの思い込みを手放せば、あなたの「真っ白な場所」が見つかる
・思い込みというのは、なかなかなくせないもの。それは、その存在に気づきにくいからである。気づいていないものをなくすことはできない。だから、まず私たちにできることは、思い込みの存在に気づくこと。その存在に気づきさえすれば、思い込みは少しずつ手放すことができる。

『戦わない経営』、『仕事は味方』の著者である浜口さんの3冊目。本著では、人が誰しも気づかぬうちに持ってしまっている「思い込み」というものを、8つに体系化して、簡単な物語を通してわかりやすく解説している。どの思い込みも、大小の差こそあれ、私自身の中にあるのかなと考えさせられた。
特に第1の法則にあるように、成長していくためには、何かをプラスしていかなければいけないという部分は、大きく持ってしまっていると感じた。一番大切なのは、エピローグに著者が書いているように、思い込みをなくすためには、その存在に気づくということ。そして、自分自身を変えるために、少しずつでいいから手放していくことだと思う。自分自身の行動・言動を、たまには立ちまって、隠れた「思い込み」によって自己制限をしてしまっていないか、確認していきたい。
