◆ものの見方
ものの見方に関する小林正観氏のお話。ここに水が半分はいったコップがあるとします。それに対して3つのものの見方があるのです。①半分しか水が入っていないじゃないか、気に入らない！という否定的な見方。②半分も入っていてうれしいという肯定的な見方。③半分も残してくれていてありがたいと感謝して受け取る見方。どれが正しいということはなく、それをどう見るのかはあなたの自由である。あとは、どう見たら人生が楽しくなるか？に沿って考えてみるべき。


◆直感力をアップする方法
ある人気エステの社長さんのお話。「経営で一番大切なのは直感力だと思う。」と言う。そして、ひらめきや直感力はどうすれば高まるのか？という質問に対して、「素直になること」という回答が返ってきた。


◆石の上にも三年。その続き
ある入院患者さんのお話。その方は、頚髄の病気を患い、両手足がうまく動かないため、車椅子の生活をされているという。お宅の壁には「石の上にも三年」と書かれた紙が貼ってあったが、ご本人が好きなのは、その続きのほうだという。「石の上にも三年。三年も我慢したのは石のほう」。その方は言う「つらい思いをしているのは自分だけじゃない。私はまわりの人にいっぱい支えられている」。自分をささえてくれる周りの人に、日々、いっぱい感謝しているという。


◆朝6時前。世界一かっこいい男発見！
ある朝、窓の外から聞こえてきた声に耳を澄ますと…「牛乳屋です。いつもありがとうございます」といっているおじさんの声がしたという。その家の方が出てきているわけでもなく、だれもいない場所で、相手がいると思って感謝の言葉を言っている。誰かが見ているからやるのではなく、自分がしたいからやる。自然にやる。そういう姿は必ず誰かが見ていてくれて、周りに感動を与えているのかもしれない。


◆「病気になった。さあ、どうする？」
100歳近くまで長生きされた作家の宇野千代さんの言葉。病気になったら一番最初に気をつけることは何かというと、それは、どこの病院に行こうか、何の薬を飲むかということではなく、1日中、病気のことで頭をいっぱいにしないことであるという。


◆死んでも残るものってなあに？
ある社長の言葉。「ああ、人間はほんとうに何も持たずに、ひとりで死んでいくんだな。でも、人に与えたものだけは残るんだな。」それ以来、「人に与えていく人生にしよう」と思い、心がけているという。


◆家事を素敵なものに変えた言葉
ある専業主婦の話。毎日の食事や掃除、洗濯、買い物。同じことを繰り返しているため、外で仕事をしている人が羨ましくもあったとき、この言葉と会ったという。「雑にするから雑用になる」。それ以来、その方の根っこの部分が変わり、料理、洗濯、掃除などひとつひとつをていねいに、心を込めて向き合うようになったという。


◆一流選手の共通点
一流スポーツ選手がともったホテルの部屋には共通点があるそうだ。それは、「部屋がとてもきれいに整えられていること」だという。でも、いつもきれいにしている一流選手でも、「おや、今日はちらかってるな」という日があり、そういう日はなぜか成績がよくないのだとか。成績がよくないから部屋がちらかるのではなく、その逆なのである。


◆失敗する人の共通点
『華僑大資産家の成功法則』の著者小方功さんのお話。「成功者に法則はなく、失敗者のみに法則がある」とのこと。その法則とは、「問題を人のせいにする習慣」だという。


◆出会いには敵がいる
「運」は、運ばれてくるもの。それは、いつだって「人」からである。だから出会いは人生を変える。でも、出会いには敵がいる。それは、「恥ずかしさ」。初対面の人に声をかけるのは恥ずかしい、何か失礼なことをしたら恥ずかしい。。。でも、その中で一番恥ずかしいことは、「恥ずかしいという感情に負けて、出会いを自分から避けてしまうこと」。

これでシリーズ3作目となるこの本。今回の特徴としては、読者の方々からの投稿である「読者セラピー」が多く盛り込まれていたということ。こうやって、人から聴いて「心に響いた言葉」を共有するということは、素晴らしいことだと思う。
私の場合、「これまでの人生での印象に残った言葉は？」と聞かれても、即答できるようなものがない。でも、こうやって、人に伝えたくなる言葉はないだろうかと意識するだけでも、言葉の受け止め方、そして、実践への結びつけかたが違ってくるのではないかなと思う。
もっと、言葉を大切に意識し、「きっかけ」につながるような魅力的な言葉を集め、行動に移していきたい。
