【内容】
「１分間○○」シリーズの初期に出た本。1985年の出版以来、第37刷を数えているほど、長く読まれ続けている。
この本独特の物語として、１分間マネージャーとある企業家（アントルプルヌール）女性とのやりとりが描かれていく。
・リーダーシップに必要な３つのスキルは、
①柔軟性（フレキシビリティ）
②診断力（ダイアグノーシス）
③取り決め（コントラクティング）
・４つの基本的なリーダーシップスタイルは
①指示型
②コーチ型
③援助型
④委任型
・行動は「指示・命令的行動」と「指示・援助的行動」に分けることができ、それぞれの行動がもっとも少ないのが「委任型」となる。
・「状況対応型リーダー」となるためには、行動を起こす前の状況診断技術が重要となってくる。
・人により対応を変えるのはもちろんんこと、仕事の内容次第で「同じ相手であっても対応の仕方を変える」 ことが必要となってくる。
・部下の適性能力とやる気を伸ばす５つのステップは、
①何をするか知らせること
②何をなすべきかを示す
③やらせてみせる
④遂行行動の観察
⑤進歩を称賛する

【感想＆気づき】
相変わらず、読みやすい物語を通して、リーダーシップというものを体系だてて教えてくれる本。
最も印象に残ったのは、リーダーシップスタイルというものは、「人によって対応を変えるだけでなく、同じ相手であっても仕事の内容次第で変える」ということ。
言葉としてみると簡単ではあるものの、そのコミュニケーションというのは、本当に大切でもあり、難しくもあると思う。
根底にあるのは、相手に自分を合わせるという部分。自分なりのスタンスを築きあげるのも大切だけど、相手あっての自分として、うまく振る舞えるようにもならなければいけない。
