[書籍] すごい会議～短期間で会社が劇的に変わる！～

【内容】
これは、著者自身がシリコンバレーで「ガズーバ」というＩＴベンチャーを立ち上げ、事業を展開していく中で出会った考え方について、自身を振り返りながら書かれたもの。
「すごい考え方」の著者であるハワード・ゴールドマンをマネジメント・コーチとして迎え、会社を立て直していく際の教えがまとめられている。


著者が自分がやりたいことを実現するためにアメリカへ渡った際の記述では、
・展望を持って「選択」と「覚悟」ができれば、あとはそれを実行に移すだけ
と書いている。

また、コーチであるハワード・ゴールドマンは、以下のように問い掛ける
・このミーティングが終わったときに、どのような成果をあげることを期待しているか？
・すべての言葉のフォーマットを「どのようにすれば？」と変換する

また、会議については、
・放っておくと会議の９５％は「コメントの交換」に使われているとも！

そして、最後の第５章「会議が変われば会社が動き出す」では、大きく以下の４つのステップを紹介している。


ステップ１：問題点または懸念は、パワフルな質問で表現する。
例）どのようにすれば～か？
ステップ２：現時点での状況を述べる。（データ/事実/何が起こったか？/何を感じ取れるか？など）
例）私の主張では～である。
ステップ３：提案、代替案、創造的な解決策を出す。
例）私の提案は～です。
ステップ４：アクションを「成功の定義」が決まっているコミットメントとして表す。（いつまで？/質？/量？）
例）私はリクエストがあります。ｏｒ私は約束します。



【感想＆気づき】
以前書いたように、「すごい考え方」という本には、かなりの刺激を受けた。
考え方はやはり「すごい考え方」の方がうまく体系だてられているものの、本著の魅力は何よりも著者自身が身を持って体験したという部分だと思う。
著者はその後、日本へ戻り、このハワードゴールドマンの考え方を用いてコンサルティング、コーチングを行っているという。
是非とも一度、そのような講座を受けてみたいもの。
（実は3/9に「すごい会議セミナー」を発見したものの、業務上＆対象者が経営者となっていたため、ちょっと断念してみました）
